THE TERRACES

Two early 20th-century terraces embellish the park of Villa Lucini.

The panoramic terrace, now known as "Terrazza Lucini" dating back to the early 1900s and recently restored to its former glory, is located at the top of the park's hill (350 meters altitude). From its balcony, one can admire the overall view of the Brianteo territory, from the Sanctuary of Montevecchia in the south to the hermitage of San Genesio atop the hill (932 meters) with the same name in the north, aided by the panoramic binoculars installed there.

The southern terrace of the complex, known as the "Belvedere" rises above the old woodshed and overlooks the church of SS. Rocco and Sebastiano. This church was commissioned and financed in 1915 by the Boselli Count, the previous owners of Villa Lucini. It is interesting to note that the southern exit from the Villa Lucini complex was precisely intended to facilitate the transfer of the elderly and observant matriarch of the Boselli family to the newly completed place of worship.

From the "Belvedere" terrace, it is possible to admire a panorama that extends to the east, reaching the Bergamo Prealps. On clear days, it is even possible to see the mountain called Canto Alto (1,146 meters), located 25 kilometers away. At the summit of Canto Alto, there is a 32.5-meter-high lattice metal cross.
